PETER SHERMAN
I grew up in a small rural Midwestern town in a family business. Both served me well in understanding how people behave and want to be treated. Early in my career I became a general manager at automobile and power boat dealerships. We worked hard to develop excellent single location retail teams that ran very profitable award winning dealerships and marinas in Los Angeles and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

The last 20 years evolved into a great ride focused on business analytics, distance learning for adults, skills based training, customer engagement, project management and consulting. I think the pillars supporting all successful adult workplace initiatives are a strong vision and ensuring employees receive something that is actionable and measurable, not simply interesting. Our personal and work lives are measured by what we accomplish.

I have been fortunate and worked with very large and pretty small clients in 47 states, Asia and Europe. In the winter, I teach skiing to disabled children and adults, as well as develop educational materials for the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park, Colorado. The best is being a proud father engaged in my young adult children’s lives…they do really talk to me!

I’ve been in the business world for more than 35 years in a variety of functional and senior leadership roles in training and development, sales, marketing, research and customer satisfaction. In every situation, I was called upon to coach, counsel, mentor and develop hundreds of employees to perform at their best. The essence of my work is to facilitate personal and professional engagement by helping identify core challenges and setbacks, both personally and professionally, so they can addressed and overcome successfully!
I have a M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Organizational Development and bring real-life experiences to every assignment I undertake. I currently live with my wife and family in the suburbs of Detroit.
